Oral Sedation Dentistry
Everyone can benefit from sedation dentistry. Over 35 million Americans have some level of anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. But for many, it is more than being afraid. Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays are images that are taken digitally and loaded into a computer file especially for a specific patient. The advantages of digital x-rays include exposure to lower radiation (only 10% of the radiation of traditional x-rays). They can also be enlarged to the full size of a computer screen, allowing the doctor to have improved viewing ability for analysis and diagnosis.
Laser Dentistry
"Gummy smiles" are a very common problem, caused by overgrowth of the gum tissue that covers the teeth. This unsightly occurrence can be caused by a variety of things, including heredity, health conditions and even the use of many common high blood pressure medications. A gummy smile will dominate the mouth, making the teeth seem almost secondary in appearance. We use a laser to change the look and shape of the gums. The laser actually vaporizes unnecessary and unsightly tissue with unmatched accuracy and effectiveness. What is left in the place of the overgrown gums is a healthy-looking, well-proportioned smile. The process takes only a few minutes for most, and there is usually very little discomfort.
Air Abrasion
Air abrasion is a technique that we use to remove decay and perform other dental procedures without the use of a drill or the need for anesthesia. It is an ideal choice for patients who suffer from fear of needles or who don’t like the sound, smell or vibration of the drill. Air abrasion can reduce treatment time by half, provides effective and precise care and eliminates the discomfort of being numb for hours.
